To Those Opposing Patriarchy,
We, the undersigned residents of Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, and the greater United States of America, respectfully submit this petition calling for two linked actions to protect women's rights, democratic institutions and social cohesion. First, we request a temporary moratorium on immigration pathways from patriarchal countries that, in practice, result in the large-scale arrival of Sharia-law adherents that do not consistently support equal rights and United States constitutional order. Second, we request a compelled, lawful mainstreaming and integration program for existing Sharia enclaves, modeled on the integration goals commonly associated with progressive Nordic approaches, including Denmark’s stated emphasis on civic integration.
We make this request firmly and with urgency, while also insisting that it be carried out humanely and within constitutional and lawful limits. Our purpose is not cruelty. Our purpose is democracy: a shared civic language, shared obligations, and equal protection under the law for all people, including religious minorities and women.
Purpose: Prevent Parallel Societies
Democracy depends on a common civic framework in which everyone, regardless of ancestry or religion, accepts the authority of the constitution, the equal rule of law, and the legitimacy of political participation. When communities form along lines that reject those obligations, the result is not cultural enrichment. The result is segregation of loyalties, uneven access to rights, and the weakening of democratic cohesion.
We are therefore asking for measures that reduce the risk of parallel societies. We also ask for a practical integration plan that brings residents, particularly women, into the mainstream, through a human program of civic mainstreaming. By not acting, we are encouraging a form of cultural isolation, on United States soil, which enforces oppressive patriarchal ideals.
Legal Justifications for Temporary Immigration Limits
We understand that immigration policy is subject to constitutional constraints and international obligations. We are asking for a lawful moratorium as a temporary, narrowly implemented measure tied to governance capacity and public safety. The state has a recognized duty to protect its institutions and to ensure that its immigration processes can responsibly verify identity, eligibility, and conditions under which new residents can reasonably integrate.
A temporary moratorium is justified where there is an immediate and demonstrable failure in integration outcomes or in the state’s ability to prevent communities from forming outside democratic oversight. In that situation, pausing new inflows allows the government to restore orderly administration, strengthen screening and verification, and implement binding integration requirements.
We urge the government to design the moratorium with safeguards: clear timelines, transparent criteria, periodic reviews, and relief pathways for individuals who can meet lawful integration conditions. This ensures the measure remains a governance tool rather than a permanent blanket.
Legal Justifications for Mainstreaming and Integration
Integration is not only a matter of culture. It is a matter of law, equal treatment, and democratic accountability. When enclaves persist in ways that reduce democratic participation, limit women’s equal standing, discourage lawful authority, or create informal systems that replace public law, the state has the responsibility to intervene.
We request an integration program that is lawful, structured, and enforceable. The program should require participation in civic education, language learning, and training focused on constitutional rights and duties. It should include clear expectations regarding conduct in public life, equal rights, and compliance with criminal and civil law.
We also request administrative tools that reduce segregation. This includes residence and schooling policies designed to prevent the clustering of communities in ways that block equal access to mainstream institutions. It may include employment placement, mandatory civic courses with assessments, and case managed oversight for those who do not comply with statutory requirements. Non-native persons who reject such mainstream participation should face deportation.
We ask that the program be humane in its delivery. It should provide education where needed, allow for individual case review, and offer lawful assistance for employment. But it must be firm in expectations. Integration cannot be optional when it concerns equal standing and participation in democratic life. Gender equality and women's rights are non-negotiable.
Humaneness With Firmness
A humane approach means the state does not humiliate, persecute, or deny basic protections. It means people are treated with dignity and given assistance to learn the language, understand the constitution, and access work and education. A firm approach means the state sets enforceable requirements and refuses to tolerate parallel governance.
We do not ask for repression. We ask for clarity. We ask for a shared civic foundation and for measurable compliance with democratic obligations.
Requested Actions
We ask the government to adopt the following actions as soon as practicable:
Implement a temporary, lawful moratorium on immigration where traditionalist, theocratic or totalitarian ideologies reign, defined through clear administrative criteria and subject to periodic review, with pathways that allow exceptions only when statutory integration, economic conditions, high levels of expertise or educational achievement can be met.
Create a compulsory mainstreaming and integration program for existing Muslim enclaves, designed to dissolve segregation and bring residents into mainstream schools, workplaces, and civic institutions.
Mandate civic education, language acquisition, and employment placement, delivered with case management, so people can comply.
Enforce compliance through lawful administrative measures, including supervised integration plans for noncompliance, while maintaining constitutional protections.
Publish transparent metrics on integration outcomes, including participation in language programs, school attendance, employment placement, and compliance with civic obligations, at no outsized expense to taxpayers.
Defund all extraneous forms of aid and welfare, to non-native persons, particularly those which allow individuals to homeschool and sequester without interfacing with mainstream communities. Any immigrant to the Unites States must afford such privilege without placing undue burdens on United States taxpayers.
Safeguards and Constitutional Limits
We insist these policies be applied consistent with constitutional rights and due process. The state should provide notice, an opportunity to be heard, and judicial or independent review for any enforcement action. Any program should be narrowly tailored to integration goals and should avoid collective punishment. However, when standards are not met, expulsion must be expeditious.
We also call on government to ensure that freedom of religion is protected in public life, including the ability to worship lawfully. Our concern is not belief itself. Our concern is the creation of systems of laws enforced predominantly by patriarchists, outside the US constitutional order, that weaken democratic oversights, undermine equal rights, and encourage separation of loyalties from public law.
Conclusion
We ask for action that preserves democracy, strengthens the rule of law, and prevents the growth of parallel societies. With humane delivery and firm enforcement, these policies can restore shared civic life and ensure that all residents, including muslims and other minorities, are fully integrated into the democratic community under equal law.
We respectfully request that the proposed measures be introduced, debated, and enacted through lawful procedures, with clear timelines and public reporting on outcomes. We sign this petition in good faith, seeking a stable and democratic future for our jurisdiction.
